This assignment we first made diptychs and triptychs of our images that represented contrast and/ or balance in one way or another. For my photos, you can see contrast in elements, scale and texture. After we did this, we made unique kaleidoscopes with these images. We edited them the way we thought the images would look the best. Kaleidoscopes are interesting because you can use dramatic filters and edits.

| Triptych This triptych shows the continuous stages of a close up airplane motor. My original photo is the first one with minor edits. Form there I zoomed in so you get half the image. The bottom of the second image is a little blurry due to the wing. The third is just part of the motor and you can see some of the lines of symmetry that surround the photo. For all photos I enhanced the black and clarity. Overall I really like this photo and how it has an antique feel to it. |

| Diptych Contrast in Elements For this I used a contrast in elements using my photos of fire and water. I edited by making the flame a little brighter orange and the ocean lighter to give it a colder feeling. I kept the wood to also show a contrast in texture between the fire and wood. This image really appeals to me and I like how the flames almost get cut off by the water. |

| Triptych Contrast in Scale For this photo I used Abigail's face and zoomed in twice to get a triptych. I edited the photo making it black and white so the pictures work smoothly together. I brightened the color of teeth and her eye to make it stand out. This photo shows different stages of scale in and I enjoy that. |

| Diptych Contrast in Scale This is another photo with contrast in scale. I took a photo of window washers because I thought it was really cool and also it scared me. They were so high up on the building! I edited this photo by zooming into the building and then once again to get a close up. I increased the blacks in the photo to get a clearer quality. For both images I connected the lines so that you can't tell their two separate pictures. This picture almost fools your eyes and you can't tell where the second image starts. |

| For these two kaleidoscopes that you see ( the blue and orange) I used the same photo but, changed the filter. I really loved both these photos and I couldn't decide which one to post so I decided to post both. Like my ocean and fire picture this one shows fire and ice these two photos contrast. The image the kaleidoscope made I thought was very interesting. ( On my computer Photoshop wouldn't open and so I Couldn't get the line in the middle to go away) |

| This was actually a picture of a square with couple lines through it. I really loved how it changed dramatically to this abstract image. I enhanced the colors in the photo and made the background a pinkish color instead of white. I like how the photo doesn't fill up all the space and leaves some empty space because it's different then the other kaleidoscopes I have. |

| These two photos ( the blue and purple) are the same images just flipped and edited differently. I really loved how the purple photo gets darker in the middle and lighter on the outside. This is actually a picture of a couple trees and how it changed from the original is really cool. For both of them, I feel it looks almost like a web and gives off a mystery feel. |

| This photo is fascinating you can't really tell what it is and that works in its benefit. I like the colors in this photo the greens and yellow make it bright. This one is different then all my other photos. I brightened the picture and brought up the yellow. In the middle is actually grass with leaves and it makes a really unique design. |
