Abstraction: In my opinion abstraction is odd, it’s a picture that doesn’t necessarly flow but still has depth and meaning. It’s more freedom and not unified but moreso blotches instead of straight lines. When I think of abstraction in dance it’s weird angles in a body or a flexed foot.
Meaning of abstraction in photography ( I really like the way this was phrased):
“Like abstract art, abstract photography concentrates on shape, form, colour, pattern and texture. The viewer is often unable to see the whole object. The subject of the photo is often only a small part of the idea of the image. Viewers may only know the essence of the image subject or understand it by what is implied.”
